Syntax

Overview

The Syntax project focused on redesigning their website both visually and structurally to reflect their evolution from a podcast for web developers into a full-fledged media company. The goal was to balance their fun, youthful energy with a more modern and mature aesthetic while enhancing user experience and site architecture.
Key Deliverables

Art Direction & Research: Explored grown-up punk band websites as inspiration to align with Syntax’s brand evolution.
Mood Boards & Ideation: Curated visual inspiration and contributed to the conceptual phase of the redesign.
Site Architecture & User Case Studies: Helped define user journeys to improve content discovery and engagement.
3D Interactive Element: Learned and implemented customized textures in Blender to create an interactive skateboard model inspired by a product sold in the merch store.
Feature-Driven Page Design: Collaborated to ensure each page highlighted unique site features for an engaging user experience.
Process Highlights

Research & Inspiration: Studied design patterns from bands that matured alongside their audience to inform Syntax’s new direction.
Content Strategy: Developed a structured approach to guide users through the platform’s extensive content.
